The state of Pennsylvania certified its election results on Tuesday, as Gov. Tom Wolf signed the Certificate of Ascertainment, officially declaring Joe Biden the winner.
Pennsylvania followed shortly after the certification of the results in Michigan on Monday and Georgia on Friday. All three were battleground states that President Trump won in 2016.
On Monday, several counties across Central Pennsylvania continued to certify the results of the election, despite ongoing legal challenges from the Trump campaign regarding election fraud.
Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar made the final vote counts official: Biden received 3,458,229 votes, President Donald Trump received 3,377,674 votes.
“Today’s certification is a testament to the incredible efforts of our local and state election officials, who worked tirelessly to ensure Pennsylvania had a free, fair and accurate process that reflects the will of the voters,” Wolf said in a statement.
