New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is reportedly seriously banged up.

According to Ed Werder, Brees has multiple fractured ribs on each side of his chest and his right lung is collapsed. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Right now, it’s not known how much time Brees might miss. He was replaced by Jameis Winston during the team’s Sunday win over the 49ers.

Obviously, nobody wants to see anyone get hurt. Injuries are part of the business in sports, but nobody likes them.

You especially don’t want to see the face of the franchise go down with multiple fractured ribs and a collapsed lung.

At the same time, Jameis Winston taking over as the starting quarterback of the New Orleans is going to be absolutely lit.

Winston, despite all of his flaws on the field, is a content machine in the NFL. The dude is absolutely awesome when it comes to his behavior and gunslinger mentality.

Every time he drops back, it could be an incredible touchdown or a disastrous interception. You truly never know.

Now, it sounds like it’s his show in New Orleans until further notice. Should be a ton of fun!
