The couple became engaged while on vacation in Italy earlier this month and plan to get married next year. Mozzi is father to one son, Wolfie, from a previous relationship.
“We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married,” the couple said in a joint press release statement. “We share so many similar interests and values and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead.”
Her younger sister, 29-year-old Princess Eugenie, married commoner Jack Brooksbank last October. The two sisters are cousins to Princes Harry and William and are the daughters of Queen Elizabeth II’s second son, Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York.
The Duke and Duchess of York also issued a joint statement, announcing they were “thrilled that Beatrice and Edoardo have got engaged, having watched their relationship develop with pride. We are the lucky parents of a wonderful daughter who has found her love and companion in a completely devoted friend and loyal young man. We send them every good wish for a wonderful family future.”
And Princess Eugenie shared well-wishes to the couple on her personal Instagram account: “Beabea – wow! I’m so happy for you my dearest big sissy and dear Edo. It’s been a long time coming and you two are meant to be.”
